The State of Knowledge study reviewed 312 scholarly articles and reports dating back to the early 1960’s, and involved a survey of 26 U.S. state highway agencies to better ascertain the gaps in knowledge and barriers to more widespread adoption of Rubber Modified Asphalt (RMA) nationwide. The key findings of the SOK address the effect of RMA on pavement performance, economics and sustainability.
