Kyle Steen serves as a Geographic Information Science (GIS) Specialist at The Ray. His work focuses on The Ray’s Solar Right-of-Way Project with duties including processing geospatial data and conducting GIS and remote sensing analyses,

Kyle graduated from the University of Georgia in 2025 with a Master’s of Science in Geography and a Graduate GIS Certificate. His thesis work utilized machine learning, drone imagery, remote sensing analyses, and geospatial techniques to predict cotton above-ground biomass at two study sites in southwest Georgia across the 2018 and 2019 growing seasons.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys biking, watching and playing basketball, exploring new restaurants, traveling to new places, and acquiring aerial imagery by flying drones.
