Circularity in Transportation: Leading Through Innovation

One-third of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions are attributed to transportation – more than any other sector in the American economy. Transportation is one of the most environmentally damaging systems in the world, and to impact real change in the sector, we must find and scale widespread solutions across the industry.

Georgia is leading the Southeast in transportation innovation. Home to business leaders: Pirelli Tire, Novelis and COX Automotive, the state has become a model for supporting innovation in all industries. Now we have an opportunity to advance that model by creating a blueprint for sustainable circular economy practices in the most impactful sector of all – transportation.

Join The Ray on April 12 at 1 pm ET as we host a Circularity in Transportation panel, featuring representatives from Pirelli Tire, Novelis and Cox Automotive, to discuss circular economy solutions in transportation, leading up to the largest sustainability date of the year – Earth Day. Panelists will review innovative private-sector solutions from upcycling scrap tire rubber in asphalt, methods to recycle EV batteries for storage opportunities, impactful materials for light-weight EV bodies, and OEMs’ roles in the product life cycles.

Host: Allie Kelly, Executive Director of The Ray
