Kearns is a newly established city in Utah. Once a township, it can collect taxes and vote for a mayor. The city has a rapidly growing population of more than 36,000 residents. It is home to the Utah Olympic Oval, used in the 2002 Olympics, and a newly built public library.

Kearns is a community of diverse individuals and families dedicated to health, safety, quality education, economic opportunity, environmental sustainability, service to others, and activities for all ages. The Kearns community celebrates its military past, Olympic history, and future by fostering a strong sense of shared identity. The Kearns community honors its military and Olympic history and is dedicated to building a strong sense of community for the future.

With support from The Ray and its capacity-building partners, Kearns is leveraging community partnerships to improve infrastructure and transportation connectivity. Additionally, Kearns is working to implement a strategy to improve the dangerous intersection of 5400 South and the Kearns Town Center. This change supports Kearns’ economic opportunity and growth.
